Woke up to a phone call canceling my appointment with my family doctor. Then spent the next hour trying to find to order the blood work for the pregnancy test. Without any luck got ready for the day, packed the car, and headed to the clinic to have blood work done on my levels on Heparin.
I run down to the lab expecting a quick blood draw...only to find out that they wouldn't draw from my foot. The order has expired and would require a new one from one of my doctors. So after three failed attempts in my arms and a blown vein. Begging the phlembotomist to give up and wait for the order to draw from my foot.
I leave the clinic to jump into the car with Mike and the dogs headed right to Minneapolis. The only thing that could make this day better is to have some great Mexican food and a little retail therapy.

Happy Valentine's Day
I had been feeling pretty crampy and was anxiously waiting my monthly friend. Wondering if we were about to start this crazy roller coaster ride called pregnancy. On a whim, I took a pregnancy test before getting ready for work. It was POSITIVE!!! The next thing I did was call Mike and then my hematologist. I was diagnosed with two blood disorders following the loss of Aliyah. They discovered that it was a blood clot in the placenta that send Aliyah up to heaven.
Survived the crazy holiday at school and then headed home to get Mike before heading to Roger Maris for the shots. I walk in to find a beautiful bouquet of flowers my hubby bought me and created his own lovely card. I have the best husband!
I have never been a fan of shots or needles of any type and now I will be giving myself injections twice a day. The first injection. Dr. Kirkeby wanted Mike to jump right in and give it and both of us seemed very apprehensive, but had little choice.
